• Historic Buildings Carbon Reduction and Climate Resilience Challenge: The City of London is launching the Historic Building Carbon Reduction and Climate Resilience Challenge to reduce carbon emissions and adapt to climate change in the Square Mile. The challenge aims to gather information and insights from those involved in historic buildings in the City, including owners, tenants, architects, developers, and contractors, to identify effective solutions that protect and enhance the value of these heritage assets. The challenge is part of the City of London Corporation's Climate Action Strategy, which aims for a net-zero carbon Square Mile by 2040.
• Flow Country Proposals: The Flow Country is a vast expanse of peatland in Caithness and Sutherland and is currently being nominated for UNESCO World Heritage status for its incredible blanket bog landscape and the biodiversity it holds. Utilising Commonplace, the community is leaving feedback to help make that a reality!
• The Surrey EV Chargepoint Interactive Map: With the number of electric vehicles growing in Surrey, the council are currently placing new public charging stations all over the county. If residents can’t charge at home, all they have to do is leave a pin on the map.
